How to network on Global Business Networking.com:		Networking is what Global Business Networking.com is all about.  Here's how to use it. When you first login you'll see a button on the menu called "Search Members".  If you click that button you can search through every member of Global Business Networking.com.  Have a look through the list, and if there's anyone in a business sector you'd like to network with then click the link to their profile or click the green + sign next to their name to invite them into your contacts. When you see someone else's profile who is not already a member of your network at the top of the page you'll see a button called "Invite this member to your network".  Click on this to invite that member to your network. One interesting way to network is to look through other people's networks.  When you click on a link to see a person's profile you'll see their network in the info bar on the right of the screen.  You can then click on any of those names to see their profile and also their network.  This can lead to searching through a number of networks and some interesting contacts!
Home page:		When you log in to Global Business Networking.com you're taken straight to your home page.  From here you can see how many invitations and messages you have, Invite a contact, Recommend a feature, see the latest news and events and also view 10 networks and 10 contacts we have recommended for you to get you started networking immediately. On the right you'll see your info bar.  This shows any new messages or invitations, the last 20 people to view your profile (if you click on their name you'll be able to see their profile), the last 10 of your contacts, a button to take you to a page where you can review all your contacts, and finally a list of the last 10 posts in the networks area.  Clicking onto one of the posts will take you straight to that page.
Networks:		In many ways the networks section is the heart of www.GlobalBusinessNetworking.com.  Here you can start your own network and invite friends and colleagues into it to discuss issues relevant to you.  For example their are networks for creatives, networks for website creators, networks for property and even networks for banking.  If you would like to start your own network, click on "Create a network" and then complete the simple form. It is important to note that you do have the option of pre-approving members who wish to join.  This helps if it is a closed network you wish to setup. To join an existing network, click on "View" next to the network name, then click on "Join this network".  If the network requires the founder to approve all new members you will receive a message when the founder has approved/rejected your application.  Otherwise you'll instantly be a member of the network and can immediately start to post. Please note that to create a network you need to be an upgraded member.
News and Events:		The main News area shows live feeds from 6 different, international websites.  This gives any business person instant updates on what's happening in the world without having to trawl through lots of other websites.  The feeds we've chosen are quite varied to allow for different tastes and information requirements.  The information in them is refreshed every 5 minutes so you're always in the know. We also encourage our members to submit their own news items so we can display them on the site and let other members know.  This could be details of a big deal you've sealed, a new company you've opened, a new product you've launched that could be of interest to members.  Please make sure any submissions are relevant and we'll be happy to include them. The Events section is purely for members to submit their own events so other members can be made aware of them and attend if they like.  Think of it as extremely targeted advertising for your events.  This section is great for business groups or other groups to post up their events and reach out to a wider audience.  Please note that submitting an event requires an upgraded membership. Please make sure you keep event submissions relevant to business events.  Also please make sure you include full details - it's difficult to attend something if you do not know where it is ;)
Buyers and Sellers:		Many people join www.GlobalBusinessNetworking.com just to gain access to this section.  The Buyers and Sellers area allows you to post up details of products and services you are either selling or looking to purchase.  This allows all other members of the site, and very importantly non-members of the site, to contact you through www.GlobalBusinessNetworking.com regarding your requirements. This is an effective way to market both your products and services or your requirements.  Please note that posting a buy or sell requires an upgraded membership, however contacting a member who has posted up does not.
Share your experiences:		We've all enjoyed good - and endured bad - customer service.  Whether at a company, restaurant, store or other place.  The Share your experiences area allows you to provide feedback on those experiences.  If it's been positive let people know so they can use the same company you used.  But if it's negative it is important to let the organisation (and your fellow www.GlobalBusinessNetworking.com members) know about it.  Feedback, both positive and negative, can help organisations to grow and prosper. There are two types of recommendation you can add - a recommendation for a company that is already a member of www.GlobalBusinessNetworking.com, and a company that is not a member.  If you make a recommendation of a company that is not a member an email will be sent to them advising them of the feedback.
Recruitment:		Are you interested in hiring new personnel, or in fact are looking to be recruited yourself?  This is the area where you can hire and be hired. To add a position you're looking to hire for, simply click on "Add a job" and complete the form.  One thing to note is for every category you choose the CV will be placed in that category.  If you would like to search through the existing CV's to contact someone who may be a suitable candidate simply click on "Search CV's" to take a look through them. To post up your own CV click on "List your CV" and complete the form.  If you would like to search through currently active positions click on "Search jobs" to look through currently-posted jobs. Please note that listing your CV is absolutely free, posting up a job requires upgraded membership.
Blog:		blog.GlobalBusinessNetworking.com keeps members up to date on the aspects of the site we're currently working on, new things we have in the pipeline and general musings of the admins.  It's updated semi-regularly and can be an interesting source of information on what's happening behind the scenes in www.GlobalBusinessNetworking.com.
Logout:		This button does exactly what it says - logs you out of Global Business Networking.com.  This can be important if you have a computer that other people share.  If other people have access to your computer it is often best to click on Logout when you've finished using Global Business Networking.com.
